Sylvia Stevens
Producer/Director
Sylvia is a co-founder of Faction Films, with over twenty-five years
experience as a producer and director. She has made programmes including
Dispatches and South Bank Show and has won numerous awards.
Recent programmes include Wartakes,
a co-production with Citurna, Colombia, and Aphrodite’s Drop,
a co-production with Arte/ZDF, NHK, SBS, AVRO, SVT and YLE.
Peter Day
Producer/Director
Peter is a producer and director based in London. He has produced
and directed documentaries for UK and International broadcasters
since 1991.Many of these films have won international prizes
and have appeared in numerous international festivals. He has
made many European co-productions for ARTE, TV2 Denmark, YLE Finland,
WDR Germany, HBO amongst others.
He has made a number of successful durational series.The
Brothel aka Love for Sale produced
in 2003 for the BBC, a major 10 part documentary series set in
legal brothels in Nevada is still being broadcast on BBC3 2 years
after its first run. Before that he series produced Smart
Hearts for Channel 4, the
first TV and internet convergence documentary series. Smart
Hearts was nominated for an Indie Award.
He has a strong background in sports documentaries. He
produced the four part series A Whole Different Ball Game for
BBC and is currently working on a series of films about football
Hooligans for Bravo.
Caroline Spry
Producer/Executive Producer
Caroline has over twenty-five years experience
in television production – as
a camerawoman, director, producer and commissioner. She joined
Channel Four Television in 1985 and for ten years commissioned documentary
and current affairs programmes from directors throughout the world.
Series included Critical Eye, The Media Show, Out, and First Sex.
In
1995 Caroline left Channel Four and has since produced, and executive
produced documentary singles and series. Credits include 6 part docu-soap
Glasgow Kiss, an examination of Derek Jarman’s life and work,
Derek Jarman:Life as Art; a look at women on Death Row in the US,
Perverted Justice; an investigation of the policing of rave culture,
Exit from Babylon, and a series Channel Four News Special Reports.
She also qualified as a lawyer in 2000 and has practised in civil
litigation.
David Fox
Director / Editor
David is a director and co-founder of Faction Films.
He is currently based in Ireland where he directs and edits programmes
for Irish television.
